Accessibility Statement

We want everyone to be able to shop at Dawnstep, including people with disabilities. Our goal is for this website to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, Level AA.

What we have done

• Text and buttons meet WCAG AA color-contrast levels, and our body font (Atkinson Hyperlegible) was designed for readers with low vision.
• The site can be used with a keyboard, with visible focus outlines and a "Skip to content" link.
• Form fields have visible labels, clear error messages and the right keyboard on mobile.
• Images have text alternatives, and decorative images are hidden from screen readers.
• Nothing on the site moves or rotates on its own, and we respect your device's "reduce motion" setting.
• Pages work when zoomed to 200% and on small phone screens.
• We test the site with automated accessibility tools and by hand, and fix issues as we find them.

Known limitations

• Checkout and payment pages are provided by Shopify and PayPal. We do not control their code, but both state that they work to support accessibility.
• Our downloadable PDF guide may not be fully accessible to every screen reader. Ask us and we will send the content in another format, such as plain text by email.
